Phloeotribus scarabaeoides. The Scolytids are now grouped with the Curculionids. This tiny insect (app. 2mm) is a pest of olive groves in Israel both adult and larva being xylophagous. These were photographed by Simcha Finkelman, taken from olive branches in Galilee.
