This species seems to be widespread. It occurs at least in my garden and at Bet Dagan in large numbers. The nuptial flights are after the first rains in the autumn from about 9 to 11 in the morning. There were so many rising up in Bet Dagan that I was even able to trace them to their exit holes as you can see. In my garden falling alates were immediately pounced upon by ants as easy prey. It may be that its the same species as the next one but the bodies of the winged adults appear to be much lighter in colour.
