This one is really interesting in that it ressembles a description given in the book "Plants and Animals of the Land of Israel" Volume 3 edited by Prof. Kugler on page 241 and described as Zapronius sp reared on figs. Zapronius is not yet in my check-list. My flies were photographed from maggots that I reared from ficus fruit that I collected in the local gardens in Holon. A google search brought me to more information and this picture of Zaprionus indianus Gupta (www.doacs.state.fl.us/pi/enpp/ento/images/).
